The 2014–2024 Triumph Rocket 3 / Rocket III platform is known for massive displacement and torque, but the factory ECU calibration leaves a significant amount of performance on the table.
BT Moto developed our Stage 1+ ECU Flash Tune for the Triumph Rocket 3 as a true OEM+ solution for both the earlier 2300cc models and newer 2500cc Rocket 3 platform. Instead of relying on piggyback fuel controllers, external tuning boxes, Android tablets, or unnecessary hardware, we recalibrate the factory ECU directly.
The result is stronger acceleration, improved throttle response, a broader usable powerband, and significantly more horsepower while retaining the smooth operation and factory functionality expected from the Rocket 3.
Best of all, tuning is completed with the BT Moto Handheld Tuner, allowing you to read and flash your motorcycle's ECU from home and return the bike to its original calibration whenever needed.
STAGE 1+ ECU TUNE FEATURES

UNLOCK THE TRIUMPH ROCKET 3
The Triumph Rocket 3 produces enormous torque in factory form, but outright engine capability is only part of the equation. The factory ECU uses electronic throttle control, requested torque strategies, fueling, ignition, RPM limits, and other calibration tables to determine how much of that performance actually reaches the rider.
This is especially noticeable on the newer 2500cc Triumph Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT, where electronic torque and throttle strategies can significantly restrict power delivery.
BT Moto addresses these restrictions directly inside the factory ECU rather than attempting to work around them with external hardware.
By properly recalibrating the torque model, electronic throttle mapping, ignition timing, fueling, RPM limiters, speed limiters, and thermal management strategies, we allow the engine to deliver substantially more of its available performance while maintaining OEM level integration.
The difference isn't limited to a peak horsepower number. The Rocket becomes more responsive throughout the rev range, pulls harder during roll on acceleration, and continues making power where the stock calibration begins to fall off.
DYNO PROVEN ROCKET 3 PERFORMANCE
Our Stage 1+ calibration has been extensively developed and tested on the Triumph Rocket 3 platform using same day, back-to-back Dynojet testing.
Stock, Pump Gas:
139 WHP / 148 WTQ
BT Moto Stage 1+, Pump Gas:
170 WHP / 151 WTQ
That's a gain of more than 30 wheel horsepower on the newer 2500cc Rocket 3 while retaining excellent rideability.
More importantly, removing the restrictive factory throttle mapping and extending the RPM limit completely changes the usable powerband. Instead of power falling away as the factory ECU begins closing the throttle and limiting engine output, the BT Moto calibration allows the Rocket 3 to continue pulling through the upper RPM range.
The result is the enormous low-end and midrange torque the Rocket is known for combined with substantially stronger top-end performance.
Dyno figures above represent testing performed on a 2021 Triumph Rocket 3 2500cc. Results and calibration changes may vary by model year, engine configuration, fuel quality, and installed modifications.
OEM+ ECU TUNING, NOT A PIGGYBACK
Our goal with the Triumph Rocket 3 was simple: create an OEM+ ECU tune that improves the motorcycle without turning it into a complicated tuning project.
There are no piggyback fuel controllers to install, no additional tuning boxes hanging from the wiring harness, and no unnecessary components that need to be removed from the motorcycle.
Instead, BT Moto modifies the calibration inside the factory ECU itself.
This allows the motorcycle to retain its factory electronics and integrated control systems while giving us access to the strategies that actually control engine performance.
Whether your Rocket 3 is completely stock or equipped with an aftermarket exhaust, intake, or other supported modifications, your calibration can be configured specifically for your setup.

INSANE POWER GAINS! Eliminating the throttle limiters and extending the RPM limiter is exactly what this bike needs to become an absolute beast. Peak to peak gains of over 30WHP is telling enough but the extended RPM limiter gives this bike a powerband it never had before.
Stock the bike was running a little rich, so we leaned it up a little to make optimal, safe power, and save you some gas as well. Rideability is not compromised with this power, the bike just gives you more of a thrill when you twist the throttle.
