After tons of inquiries we decided to acquire one of these R7's and go to work on the dyno and test track! Surprisingly, small gains go a long way with the R7. It's small engine and light weight mean 4whp is HUGE. This means a noticeable increase in power and performance. It has one of the most drastic changes in 60-130 vs. the rest of our bikes tested.
Riding the Yamaha R7 stock can be somewhat lackluster. The sound and performance just don't give you a sport bike feel. Our flash and plate kit changes that. The engine turns into a growling animal with noticeable gains in the midrange and top-end RPM. These gains are significant, even on a stock bike! As tested, we gained 8/10th's of a second from 20-100MPH Throttle engagement has been maximized to give you a direct feel of the engine, while the extended RPM limiter means less gear changes at the track and a wider powerband.

Peak gains don't tell the story here so don't be fooled. A motor this small sees an additional 4WHP and comes ALIVE. With our BT Moto plate kit the bike sees huge gains in the midrange that carry all the way to the new +500RPM limiter. The bike is completely difference and has a very noticeable difference in power and sound.
Stock the bike is very rich. We actually had to lean the mapping to exact the AFR properly. This means less fuel but more power!

BLUE = STAGE 1 with BT MOTO PLATE KIT, PUMP GAS - 68WHP / 49WTQ
This is a different R7 purposed for the track that has a full exhaust. Both pulls are stock tuning but you can see the exhaust carries the top-end higher than flashed with stock exhaust. Though with flashing the midrange and top-end see a lot more power with this modification (off-road only).

**Testing performed with California ACN 91 octane pump gas. Usage of a lower octane will yield smaller power gains. Higher octane means larger gains**
