Through careful testing of the Stock ECU and Aprilia Race ECU calibrations, we were able to find 27 power maps and limiters holding back the otherwise stout 217HP powerplant.

As tested on our YouTube video (see below) to exact a 10+whp gain over stock. It has been through many different tuning providers and agreed to bring the bike to us to develop an extraordinary file. With full in person datalogging in our closed dyno cell, we were able to find what the engine really liked and disliked. Through careful logging of ignition timing, per cylinder fueling and thermal management limiters, we were able to write an excellent file that is powerful in all temperatures and covers all octanes. The engine is an extreme powerhouse.

Our Stage 1 RSV4 1100 Factory ECU flash converts the bike to full “Alpha-N” fueling and utilizes the factory oxygen sensors for precise fuel corrections on and off throttle. Improvements in throttle response, rideability, cruising and of course, power, were all immediately apparent. Limiters raised for racing and road course use where you need to extend gears. 205MPH is found on the factory GPS meter with ease.

ADVANTAGES WITH STAGE 1

  • On average, gains of 7-14HP from the midrange and up were found over the baseline on a typical exhaust/filter bike with 93 octane fuel in the tank (Larger gains with race fuel)
  • Early Fan-On – At 200 degrees, your Aprilia starts to pull power from the engine. We change this to 194 degrees to avoid this power loss and stalling from overheat in stop and go traffic
  • Changes to fueling including part, mid and full-throttle while in Alpha-N configuration per cylinder
  • Optimization of ignition timing at part and mid throttle for all fuel qualities
  • Adjustments to torque limiting to allow the bike to make 100% of its available engine torque at high load
  • RPM limiter raised from 13,600RPM to 14,200RPM
  • Changes to rev limiter per-gear tables for widest and safest possible powerband as the factory 1100 cuts short in lower and upper gears
  • Aggressive adjustments to engine braking For road course use
  • Changes in factory unstable engine idle for stability and consistency off-throttle
  • Changes to a full 100% throttle opening in all modes, versus a limited table
  • Changes to ABS, DTC, and wheelie intervention for more available power and control for a performance oriented rider.
  • Enabled turn signals in headlight LED's
  • We recommend dropping a tooth in the front sprocket or up 2 in the back sprocket for best performance

THE BT MOTO HANDHELD TUNER

WHAT IS A "FLASH AT HOME" HANDHELD PERFORMANCE TUNER AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING ONE?

Custom tuning at your finger tips on your schedule.  Read and write your own motorcycles ecu in the comfort of your home. No longer need to bring your bike to a shop, buying a $1000 hardware kit + time + dyno then paying for time of a technician one time deal.  You now have a virtual custom personal tuner at your finger tips. This is a for life purchase with full flexibility to transfer to other motorcycles in the future. Thoroughly tested by our own engineers, not just for its function but also durability.

CAN I JUST SEND IN MY ECU FOR FLASHING AND SPEND LESS? Let's see the breakdown.

  • NO DOWNTIME - No need to send in your ECU or remove it from your bike at all.  You order the handheld, it get's delivered to you nearly instantly, and you flash your bike on your time easily.  You never miss a day of riding and no effort removing the ECU. Any issues, you can revert back to the full stock state.
  • READ AND CLEAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS - Full diagnostic of the ecu including the device.
  • STORE MULTIPLE MAPS - When you send in your ECU, you only get one map.  You might be thinking, "why would I need more than one map?".  Storing multiple maps means you're able to flash for different configurations.  If you're a serious track competitor, we can work with you to get you different mapping for different tracks.  If, for example, you're add modifications to your stock bike, we can email you a file that takes the new exhaust into account with the changes you need to optimize your bike's new modifications with no mailing needed.
  • GO BACK TO STOCK ANYTIME - Not only can you store multiple files, you can also flash the original, stock file back into the bike at any time and for any reason for service, sales, and more.
  • ABILITY TO TUNE FUTURE BIKES - Customers swap bikes all the time! With our handheld tuner, you are able to put the first bike back to stock, then reset the device and use the same device on your next bike, with a simple and low cost transfer fee.
  • ANY ISSUES? We can resolve nearly anything remotely really quick with our engineering staff.

Huge Difference Over Up Map

I bought the BT MOto tune after some issues with the upmap I installed on the bike. On the up map it ran really really hot and would just die randomly when it got that hot. BT Moto turns the fans on early so it runs way cooler, I haven't seen the bike stall once since I changed over. Also, the shfiting and power are way better. This feels like a real tune for the bike where the upmap was just a minor upgrade if anything over stock. I'm going to add their velocity stacks soon and will get a new map for that. Can't wait!
