The 95hp BMW R 12 is new for 2024. It has a severely restricted throttle compared to the 109hp R12 R9T . 15+hp in airflow alone. This heritage model mirrors a lot of the R nineT, including the engine, which we have A LOT of experience with. This boxer engine has almost 1200cc, 95hp, 85ft lbs of torque, and weighs 460 pounds (wet weight). The R 12 needs as much power as it can get. That's where we come in, not only for power, but for overall improvements in rideability.

We spent a ton of time removing sluggish throttle response, along with the jerking and bucking throughout the power range. The bike drives like a completely different monster after mapping!

Dyno Testing
Stock 2023 BMW R nineT with DNA Filters (Same Engine as R 12)
With our optional DNA Performance Air Filters, the R nineT gets geak gains of 16WHP with a decent kick in torque, but that's not the whole story here. Up top, the stock tuning hits a massive flat spot that noticeably holds the bike. The difference up top is 16WHP. In the midrange there's an slight drop in power but isn't noticeable on the road. You can see top end torque is improved by 12! Fueling has also been resolved with our full time closed loop tuning feature. The DNA filters are a great option for track riders or those seeking more of a heritage sound from their motorcycle.

Stock 2023 BMW R nineT
No air filters here, just a completely stock 2023 BMW R nineT. The gains are across the board here, most notably beyond 6,000 RPM. The rideability is resolved as well with smoother tip in than stock with better throttle response. The dip up top is not a throttle restriction, but an air restriction. The DNA filter testing above resolves this dip while still retaining perfect rideability.
