The 2024–2026 Triumph Street Triple 765 R and RS are some of the most capable middleweight motorcycles available, but the factory ECU calibration still places significant electronic restrictions on throttle opening, power delivery, RPM, and overall engine performance.

BT Moto developed our Stage 1+ ECU Flash Tune for the 2024–2026 Triumph Street Triple 765 to properly recalibrate those factory strategies and unlock more of the performance available from Triumph's 765cc triple-cylinder engine.

This is a true OEM+ ECU tuning solution. There are no piggyback fuel controllers, external tuning boxes, unnecessary add-ons, or permanent modifications required. Instead, we recalibrate the factory Triumph ECU directly.

The result is more horsepower and torque, significantly improved throttle response, stronger midrange acceleration, a wider usable powerband, smoother deceleration, and substantially better performance throughout the throttle range.

Best of all, tuning is available through the BT Moto Handheld Tuner, allowing you to read and flash your motorcycle's ECU from the comfort of your own home or shop and return to the original calibration whenever needed.

REMOVE THE FACTORY STREET TRIPLE 765 THROTTLE RESTRICTIONS

One of the biggest opportunities for additional performance on the 2024+ Triumph Street Triple 765 isn't a mechanical modification — it's removing the electronic restrictions built into the factory ECU calibration.

Modern Triumph motorcycles use electronic throttle control, which means twisting the throttle grip completely open does not necessarily command the throttle bodies to open completely.

During our development, we found significant differences between Street Triple 765 models.

The Street Triple 765 R is substantially throttle restricted, with the factory ECU capable of limiting maximum throttle opening to approximately 80% under certain operating conditions.

The higher output Street Triple 765 RS and Moto2 calibrations are less restricted, but can still be limited to approximately 88% throttle opening under certain conditions.

BT Moto addresses these restrictions directly inside the factory ECU.

By recalibrating the electronic throttle, torque request, fueling, ignition, RPM, speed limiter, and related engine management strategies, we allow the 765cc engine to deliver substantially more of its available performance.

The improvement is especially noticeable in the upper RPM range where the stock calibration begins holding the engine back.

DYNO PROVEN STREET TRIPLE 765 R PERFORMANCE

Our 2024 Triumph Street Triple 765 R Stage 1+ ECU tune was developed using same day, back-to-back Dynojet testing.

2024 STREET TRIPLE 765 R

Stock, Pump Gas:
110 WHP / 59 WTQ

BT Moto Stage 1+, Pump Gas:
122 WHP / 61 WTQ

That's approximately 12 additional wheel horsepower at peak, but the peak number doesn't tell the entire story.

The factory calibration develops a significant restriction in the upper RPM range that causes the power curve to flatten dramatically. Once the electronic throttle and related engine management strategies are recalibrated, the engine continues pulling instead of running into the factory restriction.

The difference exceeds the peak-to-peak number in portions of the upper RPM range, making the improvement extremely noticeable from the rider's seat.

The extended RPM range also provides a wider usable powerband and can reduce unnecessary shifting during track riding.

DYNO PROVEN STREET TRIPLE 765 RS / MOTO2 PERFORMANCE

The Street Triple 765 RS and Moto2 leave the factory with a less restrictive calibration than the R, but there is still substantial performance available through proper ECU tuning.

2024 STREET TRIPLE 765 RS / MOTO2

Stock, Pump Gas:
116 WHP / 59 WTQ

BT Moto Stage 1+, Pump Gas:
126 WHP / 61 WTQ

That's approximately 10 additional wheel horsepower at peak from ECU calibration alone.

More importantly, the factory calibration develops a noticeable restriction in the upper portion of the powerband. By correcting the throttle strategy, fueling, and ignition calibration, the BT Moto Stage 1+ tune allows the engine to continue producing power where the stock calibration begins falling away.

The result is stronger acceleration, improved high RPM performance, and a noticeably wider usable powerband.

25%, 50%, 75% AND 100% THROTTLE TUNING

A motorcycle isn't ridden at 100% throttle all the time, which is why our development doesn't stop with a single full throttle dyno run.

BT Moto develops and validates the Street Triple 765 calibration at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% throttle.

These partial throttle positions represent how the motorcycle is actually used during corner exits, passing, canyon riding, track riding, and everyday acceleration.

Our testing has shown improvements of approximately 7–17 horsepower at certain throttle positions and RPM ranges, depending on model and operating conditions.

In addition to producing more power, the recalibrated curves are smoother and more consistent throughout the RPM range.

This is why the improvement from the BT Moto Stage 1+ tune can feel considerably larger than the peak horsepower number alone suggests.

Dyno development was performed using same-day, back-to-back testing on our in-house Dynojet. Published testing was performed using 93-octane pump gasoline. Actual results can vary based on fuel quality, motorcycle configuration, environmental conditions, and installed modifications.

BETTER THROTTLE RESPONSE AND RIDEABILITY

Maximum horsepower is only one part of a properly developed Triumph Street Triple 765 ECU tune.

BT Moto recalibrates the electronic throttle, fueling, ignition, and torque strategies throughout the operating range to create a more direct and predictable relationship between rider input and engine response.

The result is stronger midrange acceleration, improved off idle response, better partial throttle performance, and smoother power delivery throughout the RPM range.

We also smooth the factory injector cut off strategy to reduce the excessively aggressive deceleration behavior found in the stock calibration.

PROVEN MODIFICATIONS AND INDUCTION COMPONENTS

BT Moto has developed calibration support for a variety of popular and proven Street Triple 765 exhaust systems, air filters, and performance modifications.

However, not every aftermarket component produces an improvement.

The 2024+ 765 engine uses a different factory induction configuration than previous generation Street Triple 765 models. We do not recommend installing velocity stacks designed for earlier 765 models on the 2024+ platform.

Only induction components specifically developed and tested for the 2024+ engine should be used. Installing untested components can negatively affect horsepower, torque, fueling, and overall rideability.

Your BT Moto calibration can be configured specifically for supported modifications installed on your motorcycle.

A2-RESTRICTED STREET TRIPLE 765 MODELS

For customers in markets offering A2-restricted Triumph Street Triple 765 models, BT Moto can address the ECU side portion of the factory power restriction.

However, some A2-restricted motorcycles may also use a different Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) that does not provide the same operating range as the unrestricted version.

Depending on the specific motorcycle and market configuration, converting an A2-restricted bike to unrestricted specification may therefore require installation of the appropriate non-A2 TPS in addition to the BT Moto ECU calibration.

Customers with A2-restricted motorcycles should confirm their specific hardware configuration before tuning.

OEM+ ECU TUNING — NOT A PIGGYBACK

Our goal with the Street Triple 765 is to improve the motorcycle using the sophisticated engine management system Triumph already engineered into it.

There are no piggyback fuel controllers to install, no additional wiring harnesses, and no external tuning boxes attempting to manipulate sensor signals.

BT Moto modifies the calibration inside the factory Triumph ECU itself.

This gives us access to the electronic throttle, fueling, ignition, torque, RPM, speed limiter, thermal management, and other strategies that actually determine engine performance.

More power. Better throttle response. A wider powerband. Factory level integration.

TUNE YOUR STREET TRIPLE 765 FROM HOME

The BT Moto Handheld Tuner allows you to read and flash your Triumph Street Triple 765 ECU from the comfort of your own garage or shop.

Once your motorcycle is configured with the handheld, calibration files can be transferred directly to the device and flashed into the factory ECU.

This allows you to receive updated calibrations remotely, change supported tune configurations, read and clear diagnostic trouble codes, and return the motorcycle to its original stock calibration whenever needed.

If you change your exhaust, air filter, or another supported modification in the future, an updated calibration can be supplied without repeatedly removing and shipping your ECU.

No piggyback. No permanent modification. No unnecessary complexity.

IMPORTANT: SOME ECUs MAY REQUIRE A ONE-TIME BENCH READ

Due to differences in factory ECU software versions, there is a small possibility that some 2024–2026 Street Triple 765 motorcycles will require the ECU to be mailed to BT Moto one time for a bench read before handheld tuning can begin.

This process allows us to obtain the appropriate original ECU information and prepare the correct stock file for the tuning server.

This is a one-time initialization process when required. Once the ECU has been prepared and the handheld is configured, future supported tuning can be completed through the BT Moto Handheld Tuner.

MAIL-IN ECU FLASH OPTION

For customers who do not want or need the BT Moto Handheld Tuner, a mail-in ECU flash option is also available.

With the mail-in option, simply remove your ECU and send it directly to BT Moto. We program the appropriate Stage 1+ calibration and return the ECU ready for installation.

For mail-in ECU customers, we recommend having an OBD2 scan tool and Triumph EU5 diagnostic adapter available in case a one-time check engine light needs to be cleared after reinstalling the ECU.

Recommended scan tool: Autel AL319
Required adapter: OBD2 to Triumph EU5 diagnostic adapter

2024 TRIUMPH 765R vs BT Moto Stage 1 (5th Gear)

Peak gains of 13WHP with a good kick in torque is great but that's not the whole story here. Up top, the stock tuning hits a massive flat spot that noticeably holds the bike. The difference up top is over 13WHP and very noticeable seat of the pants feel. We also see gains in the midrange and low end of the RPM. Even the RPM has been extended for less shifts at the track with a wider powerband, and no longer feels like you're hitting a wall.

2024 TRIUMPH 765RS/MOTO2 vs BT Moto Stage 1 (5th Gear)

Even with a less restricted ecu, peak gains of 9 HP with a good kick in torque is great but that's not the whole story here. Up top, the stock tuning midrange hits a rich fuel wall that noticeably holds the bike. The difference up top is huge. Even the RPM has been extended for less shifts at the track with a wider powerband,
