The 2020+ CANBUS Ninja 1000SX is one of the newest requested products we've had this year. Customers are very excited to see this bike unlocked and we were the first to finish this project for the community. Being the first to unlock the 2020 is never enough for us. We want to make sure that people are not only satisfied with our flashes We want them to be amazed with the results. 

After taking some time to develop our mapping, we think we have something owners will be happy with.

THE DETAILS

  • FUELING - With custom tuning we can target better AFR (air/fuel ratio) plots to enhance not only racing performance, but also cruising and partial throttle inputs.
  • IGNITION - Optimized to make the most power while still being safe and reliable.
  • THROTTLE DE-RESTRICTION - Giving you the ability to utilize 100% of the throttle is paramount in track situations where you need all the power you can get on demand. The factory file has a “dead spot” on the top end restricting the throttle from 7000+ rpm, down to 19% towards redline that kills the bikes power curve when it should be making the most. This also means any kind of straight line acceleration also suffers. We remove these factory restrictions to ensure a smooth and predictable throttle, all the way to redline.
  • LOWER FAN-ON TEMP - Let’s face it, this bike rides a little on the hot side. To help not only the riders enjoyment but also keep the engine slightly cooler, we've lowered the fan-on temps.
  • INCREASED RPM LIMITER (at customer request) - The stock RPM limiter is set to 11,800 RPM. We have been testing 12,200 RPM with zero negative side effects. We set the RPM limiter for 12,200 RPM in all gears. This helps you stay in the powerband longer and reduces the need to shift at the track. We had to match the ignition to match this new powerband as well.
  • INCREASED TOP SPEED LIMITER - Removed so you can let the bike run free in any track environment.
  • TCS / MODE SWITCH - This one is really just an annoyance that we took care of after riding the bike. We noticed you couldn't switch the traction control system off while riding the bike. With our flash you now can. You must be off the throttle though.
  • EXHAUST VALVE MANAGEMENT - Improved and optimized for peak performance and sound.

PLEASE NOTE

  • YOUR BIKE MUST HAVE ONE OF THESE ECU NUMBERS: (21175-1631, 21175-1488, 21175-1564, 21175-1566, 21175-1565, 21175-1572, or we will have to read the ECU once on bench).
  • If your bike has a different ECU number EMAIL US BEFORE PURCHASE. Your ECU number can be found on the ECU itself in the tail of the bike. We found the ECU number we listed is almost all 2020+ 1000SX's. We will be working to add more and will update this page when we do.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of the SX’s AFR (air/fuel ratio) and the platforms almost endless aftermarket options, the file we deliver you may need the fueling to be adjusted to meet your bikes individual needs or wild exhaust combos. In this instance of extreme racing or wanting every last horsepower, we recommend a piggyback fuel controller and wideband or an "auto-tuner" that can aid you in correcting your fuel maps under real life condition (if needed).  
  • Our tuning only applies to ONE MODE, "F" OR Full power. This mode will be the highest power mode. Other modes will use stock throttle. Please note that all other modes will run like stock and will not be derestricted. We have done this at the request of the community in general.

THROTTLE RESTRICTIONS

Below you can see the throttle restrictions. Take a look at the bottom right of this graph. The number represent a throttle percentage maximum when the user is commanding 100% throttle. At the left side of the graph you can see RPM. this means the ECU is taking 80% throttle away from the bike at 10,000RPM. Look below to see what we do to this section.

MODS: 2022 BMW 1000SX With and Without our BT-MOTO flash 5th gear​

This graph shows stock vs flashed on 91 pump gas, same day. While there's only a couple horsepower gained in the low end, the top end is where the flash really separates from stock. The stock flash throttle limits really shut the bike down around 10,500RPM, while the flashed power carries well over stock. We extended the RPM limiter to bring a wider, and more useable powerband to the 1000SX.

Amazing results

Just wanted to say what you gentlemen did for the Ninja 1000sx is absolutely fantastic. It honestly feels a lot more solid overall, not just in the powerband on the upper end. The smoothness on the upper end really is impeccable, and the vigor of the engine in that 60-130mph range is extremely noticeable. Something that I thought was a little interesting as well was that even when I’d gun it with low end traction control on, it wouldn’t slip at all. So I don’t know if that was refined by y’all but it certainly feels a lot more sturdy and controllable underneath me. The only thing I can think of that needs potential refinement isn’t even a technical issue. Since the engine overall is more powerful and not as soft, the rear suspension is now obviously harder to compensate. Because of this, I think I need to drop the front end down an inch or so to help compensate for my light 140lb figure. That’s definitely a good problem to have though! Overall feels super creamy on the top at about 140-167. Honestly super happy with the end result.

15hp hp gain

I needed what i thought was fuel adjustment after a slip on pipe, bike felt odd. Found these boys through the internet - only real provider for tuning for these bikes. 20minute phone call on their tuning theory left me confident i was dealing with a flyby night (thanks chris). They overnighted me a unit, and man i got more then what i wished for. Fueling feels spot on. Speed limit is gone, throttle response and top end power never stops. Will consider using them for my new ZH2 when it arrives.
