The Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is probably one of the most capable upright bikes we have ever seen since the BMW S1000XR. Every aspect of this bike is AMAZING it’s an updated 848 dual purpose. At BT Moto, we take bikes that are already amazing and make them spectacular. The Ducati Pikes Peak is no exception. We had to re-develop fuel map strategies from square one. Ignition maps and throttle mapping are also all new for 2021+ Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. One of the big complaints for the Multi was the twitchy throttle that could make the bike buck in a corner along with the big torque HOLE from 4-8,000rpm. The next issue is the exhaust valve problem, bad start and idling, and low power at midrange due to extremely lean fueling.


WHAT DOES STAGE 1 INCLUDE?

  • Correct fueling on both banks in “Alpha N” mode for a totally different driving experience
  • Better quick shifter / blipper reactive time
  • On / off throttle optimization. Bike will no longer jerk from throttle inputs (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Cold start fix (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Cylinder de-activation on-off optimized (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Raise rev limiter / speed limiter
  • Throttle limiters open to 100% and much more responsive from part to full throttle
  • Raised torque limiters for lower gears, full power in first gear now.
  • Raised load limiters for additional airflow.
  • Revised traction control and ABS (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Ignition timing adjustments for additional power
  • Exhaust valve adjustments

Anyone that has the Akra up-map will say the bike feels a lot more lively than stock. So how does our Stage 1 flash compare? Customers and our own R&D reveal a VAST improvement over the stock map and even the up-map from Akra.


WHY IS THIS THE BEST UPGRADE YOU CAN BUY?

Currently, there are only one option to flash the Multi and they it requires the purchase of an exhaust system. This option is mostly just fueling changes and can be dramatically improved upon. How do we know? We’ve tested all options extensively and can say with 100% confidence that our flash is superior in every way. The up-map flash option cannot be purchased independently without the purchase of an exhaust. Our mapping is currently the only truly developed and tuned file using true Conti M4D Ducati function sheets and mapping accordingly, using our in-house motorcycle and dynometer and real world datalogging. We're not just nudging numbers in generic editors with no testing, like we see so many people do. We have reverse engineered the ECU for full features and enjoyment, far beyond the up-map. We all know the Ducati Multistrada is a great bike! We also know it isn’t perfect. Issues that we’ve tested ourselves and what customers have reported include the following:

  • Stalling for no reason during idle
  • Startup issues when slip on exhaust is installed
  • Smoking issue and hard starting in all temperatures
  • Issues with slip on exhaust is installed
  • Acceleration that isn’t smooth through the entire RPM range due to inaccurate AFR
  • Engine seems to struggle (lurch or jump through RPM range, 4000 - 8000 RPM) if too warm
  • Power that seems to level off (flatten) after 8,000 RPM heavily
  • Burn your legs in traffic with stock fan temperature

A no-brainer

Simply excellent. I did the flash pretty soon after acquiring the MultiV4PP and fitting the Akra race exhaust. I’ve learned my lesson with trying to tough out a poor factory tune. No regrets and very pleased.

2023 Pikes Peak 4VS with full Akrapovic exhaust.

This is my third BT tune, two previous BMW's (1000XR & 1000RR). I must admit I'm kinda numb to engine and ride ability issues. I usually just adjust my riding to fit the bike. BT tune made this bike so much more fun to ride. It has become deceivingly fast due to no flat spots or big hits just smooth tractable acceleration. Throttle modulation in long fast sweepers is amazing...very smooth. I am extremely pleased with this product BT has done great job. Give it a go...you won't be disappointed!

Multistrada V4S

I recently installed this on my 23 Multistrada V4S and I can confirm it does exactly what I was looking for. The stock Multistrada had several dead / flat spots throughout the RPM range. This tune eliminated that for me allowing me to get on the throttle hard without the previous flat spots. My bike is stock with no exhaust mods, and I don't plan on adding one. This is my second BenTune product, I previously had the Stage 2 on my 21 BMW K1600B which I still own. No issues with that tune in the 3 yrs I've had it installed....Just remember to tell your service writer :DO NOT UPDATE MY ECU" :-), even if they do you still have the tune file saved on your computer and handheld. I am confident in the reliability of these tunes hence, my install only 1 month after buying a new bike. You won't be disappointed.
