2022+ DUCATI DIAVEL V4

The Ducati Diavel V4 is a massive improvement over the previous generation 1260s. At BT Moto, we take bikes that are already amazing and make them spectacular. The Ducati Diavel V4 is no exception. We had to re-develop fuel map strategies from square one. Ignition maps and throttle mapping are also all new for 2022+ Ducati Diavel V4. One of the big complaints for the V4 was the lazy throttle along with the cylinder deactivation/activation stutter and delay. The next issue is the stuck exhaust valve problem, bad start and idling, and low power at midrange due to extremely lean fueling.


WHAT DOES STAGE 1 INCLUDE?

  • Correct fueling on both banks in “Alpha N” mode for a totally different driving experience
  • Better quick shifter / blipper reactive time while still keeping the shifter smooth
  • On / off throttle optimization. Bike will no longer feels lazy with throttle inputs (BT Moto exclusive)
  • More power through power curve through ETV, fueling and ignition curves
  • Cold start fix (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Cylinder de-activation on or off optimized (BT Moto exclusive)
  • Raise rev limiter / speed limiter
  • Throttle limiters open to 100% and much more responsive from part to full throttle
  • Raised torque limiters for lower gears.
  • Raised load limiters for additional airflow
  • Cylinder de-activation option

2023 Ducati Diavel V4 with Akra Exhaust and 91 Octane fuel. You can see the flash helps the Diavel V4 carry more power for longer at the top of the RPM range in a track setting or spirited canyon riding. In the mid-range you can see a noticeable performance gain in the mid and low-range. Perfect for cruising and light to light traffic. At the low end you can see huge gains to help with cruising/stop and go.

Incredible!

So, I am able to provide a review after finally spending time with this Stage 1 ECU flash. I put about 400 miles on the Diavel V4 during Daytona bike week and I can confidently recommend this upgrade. I had about 2500 miles on the bike stock, and then 1000 miles after the Akrapovic exhaust install and now this ECU flash. The responsiveness of the engine is much stronger through the rev band and really wakes up the engine. You certainly need careful throttle control in 1st and second gear if DWC is set aggressively. I did the cylinder deactivation delete and thus far it has been great. I have not seen a huge increase in heat (although it wasn't real hot in Florida in March). Fuel economy? Well that depends on how you ride! The BT-Moto ECU flash is a must have upgrade after the Akrapovic exhaust!! I'm looking forward to a Stage 2 ECU flash in the future!! Well done!!
