World's first R1300GS calibration completed by your friends at BT MOTO. We have purchased one of these to study and to improve.  These have a new ECU protection, but can still be tuned.  Boasting 10-12 MORE horsepower and torque at the wheels then the already awesome 1250 engine, this bike is a must have.  New engine, new dual inlet airbox, Sport screen, adjusted suspension and more this bike really knocks it out of the park. BMW has really stepped up to answer the V4 Ducati Multistrada. And we've made it even better


FLASHING BENEFITS

  • Power and torque gains due to unrestricted throttle and removal of airflow limiters to give you 100%, in each gear
  • Gearbox limiter so bike can acheive full power in first and second gear full throttle hits.
  • Exhaust valve adjustments for best sound and maximum torque and horsepower, option: neutral/clutch in can remained closed or 6th gear for highway drone to be closed at cruising rpms.
  • Lower fan-on temperatures for cooling running engine 
  • Smoothing of part throttle and low RPM rideability to combat bucking and jerking with proper fueling (closed loop wideband activation). Gone is the steady state "light misfire" feeling of being too lean for the conditions.
  • Full throttle fueling shaped for maximum power and torque (and safety)
  • Removed top speed limiter (135mph)
  • Removed cruise control limiter (99mph)
  • Reshaped torque model for more power at all RPMs, part or full-throttle for best response
  • Ignition timing optimized for every different low, mid to high octane table
  • Cold and warm start issues eliminated
  • Removal of known flat spots in the 3000 RPM range
  • Rev-limit adjusted for max acceleration (optional)

We spent a ton of time removing the midrange and bad sluggish throttle response, along with the jerking and bucking throughout the power range.  The bike drives like a completely different monster after mapping!  See why our R1250 engine products were one of our best sellers, with the new 1300 engine revamp.

MODS: STOCK BMW R 1300 vs BT MOTO FLASHED BMW R 1300

RED = Stock flash with 93 Pump Gas - 133whp / 104wtq

BLUE = Stage 1 flash with 93 Pump Gas - 143whp / 115wtq

This graph shows stock vs flashed on 93 pump gas, same day, same dyno. This was done in 5th gear. The gains are all across the entire RPM range, and the bike even gains 11WTQ. Absolutely no downside from tuning, only gains. Our full time closed loop tuning allows for perfect Air/Fuel, no matter the conditions.

The below graph show the difference in power you gain from a stock BMW R 1250 GS (RED) to a stock R 1300 GS (BLUE). You can see the new 1300 engine makes massive gains over its predecessor, stock vs stock.

BETA TESTING VELOCITY STACKS

RED = Stock R 1300 on 93 Pump Gas  - 132whp / 106wtq

BLUE = BT Moto Flashed R 1300 with velocity stacks on 93 Pump Gas - 154whp / 117wtq

While dyno testing we noticed the same telltale dip that the R 1250 suffered from. Since we know this was caused due to a lack of airflow, we got to work on developing new velocity stacks to complement the R 1300. The result? Over 20whp peak to peak and over 30whp close to redline. There's a gain of over 20wtq higher in the RPM range as well. All of this with zero power loss down low. In fact we gained power down low as well. Development continues as this will be integrated into our Stage 2 mapping for this platform.
